Digitalis purpurea - Dalmatian Peach

Digitalis purpurea - Dalmatian Peach

Romantic, quick to bloom, and wonderfully garden-ready, Digitalis purpurea ‘Dalmatian Peach’ is a hybrid foxglove that can flower surprisingly fast, often in just a month or two depending on weather. Multiple 2–30" spikes carry nodding soft apricot-peach bells that glow beautifully in cottage gardens, shade gardens, entryway plantings, and large containers.

Also known as Dalmatian Peach Foxglove, this vertical perennial favorite adds elegance and height without waiting until year two like many old-fashioned foxgloves. The flower spikes are perfect for cutting, and plants can repeat bloom whether you snip stems for the vase or cut back spent spikes. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms, while deer and rabbits tend to leave them alone.

Plant Digitalis purpurea ‘Dalmatian Peach’ in part shade to sun with rich, well-drained soil. It tolerates clay-ish soil but performs best with compost-enriched conditions. Grown from seed, colors may be slightly variable. Explore more cottage garden classics in our Digitalis collection.
